Backstory:Sayoko hasn’t always been terrified of her father S'Rhiki. There has been a time when he would carry her around on his shoulders, proudly telling everyone she was his daughter and I'Lyhia his wife. He wanted Sayoko to be a great warrior like him, and was more than a little disappointed when she chose the bow to be her weapon like her mother. Especially when she lost a duel against a different tribe's Nunh's daughter; it marked the start of a bad period in Sayoko’s life.S'Rhiki grew more stern and sometimes even angry with Sayoko whenever she lost a battle or let their prey escape because she ran out of arrows, but I'Lyhia always protected her. Until one day his hand slipped against her mother, slapping her square in the face. Sayoko wasn’t present that day, she only noticed the red streaks on her mother’s cheek and her swollen lips, but I'Lyhia didn’t speak about the incident.I'Lyhia sometimes took Sayoko to visit the Ruby Sea with her, without S'Rhiki knowing, and sometimes they even met Raen there. The little girl was curious as to why their scales were white and how they lived in a bubble under the sea as a Raen child claimed, but her mother always kept quiet. The Raen child eventually told her about magic, displaying various skills to her like Fire and Thunder, marking the day Sayoko caught interest in the disciples of magic. As I'Lyhia noticed, she made Sayoko promise not to pursue them however. The girl agreed, even if she didn’t know why.Over the years, S'Rhiki became more violent towards both I'Lyhia and Sayoko, trying to push the girl to learn how to be a proper warrior, but she declined everytime, even if it resulted in her being hurt by her father or her mother being hurt trying to protect their daughter. Unfortunately, S'Rhiki found out about the two women’s excursions, taking Sayoko on a “special mission" when I'Lyhia was visiting her parents.The special mission turned out to be a punishment, as he took the girl to the ocean she loved so much. Wondering what they were doing there, the girl looked at her father to be met by sheer rage. He held her over the waves- standing on a cliff- by her collar, giving her the choice of dying then and there or never visiting the Raen of the Ruby Sea again. Sayoko chose to live in her panic, but got thrown to the ground behind her father before he told her to come back home alone, leaving the traumatized girl behind.When she reached her home many hours later, I'Lyhia awaited her, somehow knowing what has happened. Sayoko couldn’t look at her father anymore, packing her things and, with the help of her mother, left for Kugane.She remembered the Raen with their magic, wondering if there was magic that could help with their situation as she left for Ul'dah to study black magic. She would return at some point and prove her father she was worth something, to protect her mother from his outrages.

tldr;Sayoko left her family and her tribe at a young age due to an incident with her father, travelled to Kugane and from there to Ul'dah. She studied black magic and decided to do the same with every other disciples of magic before joining the Warrior of Light and the Scions as unofficial/honorary Scion.

BAD END:

If Sayo somehow finds herself at her very end, due to an immense amount of despair or her own will to live fading away, there will be a Primal who will happily take her as a vessel: Azeyma, who would never let one of her beloved children suffer, especially not one with as much compatibility with her Aether.Having no will to live, she would fight you on sight, though who could defeat such an ancient primal?Should Azeyma decide to take back the Aether she bestowed upon Sayoko, she would be a walking black hole for aether surrounding her - to a point of making people around her physically and mentally ill.

FAMILY:

S'Rhiki is a very strict but caring father- in his own way. While he drove away his only daughter, he later on got a son who became the Warrior he has always wanted. Though his memory seems to have gotten worse, he keeps asking where his daughter is lately...

I'Lyhia is a very loving mother, only wanting the best for Sayoko and supporting her in every possible way. Her mother was part of the Orben and has ancestor in the Himaa, a tribe that has a high possibility of twins.

S'Mitu is a young Seeker and Sayoko's brother. He's ten summers old and had no idea he had an older sister until recently.

Sayoko has done and still does many different jobs aside from adventuring. Maid servant, postwoman, barista, some even say she was a Gold Saucer bunny for a few days!
